As mentioned on Rocket's page, because he posesses the creme gene and is also homozygous for
the black gene, Rocket can sire buckskin, black, smoky black, perlino, smoky cream and bay foals. He can
not sire any red-based foals - sorrels, chestnuts, red duns or palominos, regardless of the color of the mare.
But, if the mare posesses any color modifiers that Rocket doesn't have (dun, roan, gray, Paint or pinto) then the foal may
also inherit those characteristics.
Rocket has sired a total of 30 foals - 14 fillies and 16 colts.
Out of those 30, there were 11 buckskins, 2 duns, 4 dunskins, 11 bays, 1 perlino and
1 grey (out of a grey mare). (See colors of all mares on the 'Color Genetics & Links' page)
Rocket's offspring have his great qualities and wonderful temperament.
His offspring are quiet, athletic, very willing and a pleasure to train.
His babies are very versatile, being shown in halter, showmanship, reining, barrels/poles,
english/western pleasure and jumping.
